The new edition of Literary Conversations Across Borders welcomes Christina Lamb, award winning journalist from The Sunday Times and political commentator Sultan Al Qassemi
The way reporters get their story has change dramatically in the last decade. Has the impact of twitter rewritten all the rules? Has it changed journalism for better or worse? Its immediacy gives us first person accounts on the spot, but what about checking the facts? Has fake news shaken our belief in what is being reported?
On Thursday 2 July, Julia Wheeler moderated a talk with Christina Lamb, award winning journalist from The Sunday Times and political commentator Sultan Al Qassemi to discuss reporting stories in these changed, strange times.
Literary Conversation Across Borders is a new initiative from the OPCD and the Emirates Literature Foundation using a digital platform to host Emirati writers and commentators in live discussions with high profile experts from around the world on a variety of critical topics.
