The Dubai Future Foundation and Dubai Culture invite you to join a national design competition to re-imagine a new aesthetic of future.
The UAE has a rich heritage and culture, yet our images of the future often come from somewhere else; international cinema, Hollywood or elsewhere.
What would an authentic Emirati vision of the future look like?
The Emirati Futurism Award challenges our idea of what the future looks like, asking young designers, artists and creators to explore what fashion, architecture, design and culture could look like in an authentic Emirati future.
It explores the intersection of Arab culture with high technology, imagining a new aesthetics which can inspire, guide, and empower a new generation of future makers.
The award is eligible for anyone living in the UAE, covering seven categories with over 175,000 AED worth of prizes, incentives and opportunities.
The seven categories are:
