With an exciting lineup of twelve talks over a week, the UAE and the Netherlands will present a large spectrum of topics covering female empowerment, art, entrepreneurship, education, water and food security and diplomacy.
Opening Day: Sunday, May 30th
At 3pm UAE (1pm CET) with HE Omar Saif Ghobash, Assistant Minister for Cultural Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and HE Ahmed Aboutaleb, Mayor of Rotterdam. The discussion will be moderated by HE Dr Mariam Al Mahmoud, Deputy Director General of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy.
At 4pm, HE Dr Hissa Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and HE Lody Embrechts, Dutch Ambassador to the UAE will look back at the first fifty successful years of the relationship between the two countries and look ahead to strengthen and develop this partnership.
At 4.30pm, the first ‘Youth Talk’ will cover the the theme of “Studying in the UAE and the Netherlands”.
Speakers include Reem Al Otaiba, Senior Coordinator in ADNOC, member of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council and Hend Rashed, an Emirati student studying in the Netherlands.
During the week, talks at 3pm UAE will include Essa AlHashimi, Ministry of State for Food & Water Security; Dr Rabia Ferroukhi, IRENA; Dan Roosegaarde, Designer and Inventor; Shatha AlMulla, Ministry of Culture and Youth; Duke Urbanik, YesDelft; Saeed Al Falasi, Dubai Future Foundation; Carine de Meyere, Women in Tech; Mariët Westermann, NYU Abu Dhabi.
Every day at 4.30pm, watch our inspiring younger generation of professionals from both countries during the ‘Youth Talk Series’ in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Youth Hub. The sessions include starting a business in the UAE and the Netherlands, female empowerment, being an artist, the youth hubs, and a talk titled “My Next 50 Years.”
